Poul Kjaerholm Furniture

Poul Kjaerhom has been described as the designer of the most elegant Scandinavian furniture of the post-war era. With a background in carpentry as well as design he blended the Danish furniture aesthetic with the use of new technologies. He considered steel to have aesthetic qualities equal to wood and used chromium plated sheet steel in his chair designs.
Kjaerholm ranks alongside Panton, Wegner, and Jacobsen as leaders in Danish Modern Classical design.
